Description
One great way to practice the ASL alphabet is by using these flashcards with Ada and friends!
Each deck comes with one card for each letter of the English alphabet on one side with its matching American sign language sign on the other.
There are many ways you can use the flashcards:
- Hold up each one showing the letter, and help your kids to respond by showing the matching ASL letter with their hands.
- Show them the ASL alphabet sign on the opposite side of the card, and have them tell you the corresponding letter.
- Match the letters or signs with the 14 words that are spelled out using ASL in Ada and the Helpers.
- Help your child spell out their name and other words with the cards.
- Come up with your own game! We’d love to hear how it goes with your kids. Share it with us on social media, and we’ll share with our audience!
Included in the deck are eight trading cards featuring Ada the fox and her friends from the children’s book Ada and the Helpers. These trading cards can also be used to practice three of the Ling Six sounds used to assess a child’s ability to hear hear the full range of vocal sound.
This beautifully-designed deck comes with 34 playable cards in all, with characters from the book illustrated by Melissa Fischer and designed by the author of Ada and the Helpers, Travis D. Peterson.
